Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R1LQE7BC7GFTUZ This is a video review of California Baby’s Calendula Cream.

The scent is very mild and the 2 pack makes the purchase much more economical as opposed to buying them individually.

We are definitely going to continue buying this product for the baby, Mom and Dad.

My son gets horrible eczema on his arms, wrists, legs, and back. He fights me applying anything to it so we end up in a endless cycle of getting it nearly cleared up… then letting it go till it gets awful again. Later, rinse, repeat. The bad part is it gets so raw that when I put anything on it, he yells that it is burning – so what I have found I have to do is use aquaphor for a day and then it is healed enough to use regular lotion. I have had good success with the Curel Anti-Itch.

What I would like is something not as gross as aquaphor (I’m not one of those anti-petroleum people, it’s just so greasy and heavy is all) that I can maybe use for both seriously bad and getting better eczema. People rave about this so I bought some to try…

It’s just all right. The first night I used it, my son said it didn’t burn. The next time I used it, though, he did. Bear in mind my son screams like he’s being boiled in oil when I come his hair, and yet managed to fall into a baseboard heater so hard he dented it without telling me ANYTHING until a day later – so I tend to be skeptical of his reports when things hurt. In other words – he can be a bit dramatic when things aren’t going his way. So who knows.

I LOVE how this smells, and I love that is soaks in fairly well, so it’s not as nasty greasy as the aquaphor. I can use it on his wrists and hands and things that won’t be covered with clothing without worrying he will be sticking to things all day or leaving greasy marks everywhere. But it really doesn’t seem to work as fast or as well as my aquaphor/curel combination. If you’re intent on going natural, this is a good option, but if you’re comfortable being mainstream, I think there are better alternatives.

I bought this calendula cream after my friend recommended it to me and I am very glad that I did! My daughter is now 4 months old and she had horrible cradle cap on her scalp and ears. I use this cream everyday on her scalp and it has kept all of the cradle cap away for 8 weeks now. I have to use the cream behind her ears multiple times a day, and it is effective in this area as well. I also use it on her face when she cuts herself with her fingernails and it seems to speed along the healing process. I even used it on myself when I had a cut, and it actually felt much better.

The calendula cream has a pleasant, minty smell. The 2 pack is a better deal than buying them individually in the store. A little bit goes a long way. I use it everyday, and it has lasted me approx 2 months. I do not use it on my daughter’s body because it is a bit pricey. I use Burt’s Bees baby lotion for her dry skin.

    PROS:

    1-keeps cradle cap away

    2-lasts a long time

    3-smells nice

    4-no parabens

    CONS:

1-pricey, but you can save $$ when buying the 2 pack

Love this stuff! It’s the only thing that calms my baby girls exzema….it’s perfect for after swimming or when it gets really dry. I go through a jar a week! I reapply it after every diaper change to keep her extra soft!

Neither of my daughters had any skin conditions, other than periodic dry skin. I use this at nighttime before bed. The “calming” scent is wonderful and truly calming. I’ve been using it for years and my older (2 years) daughter loves to put it on, too. I use it as part of their bedtime ritual to get them ready for bed. All of the products by California Baby with the “calming” scent are great. I’ve also tried some of their other scents, which are nice, too. I believe they sell a sampler of body washes.
