I got one of these for my 2006 Honda CRV. As pictured there’s metal mesh on the outside and inside filter material. The one I received only has mesh on the inside. I guess it is a design change. Not sure how it’ll affect performance, if at all. Nice to get a filter for under $12 compared to dealer replace charge and labor. Look on youtube to see how easy it is to change the filter yourself and save some major bucks. Finally, I went 30k miles until I changed the filter per the owners manual. All I can say is I should’ve ignored the manual and changed it sooner…say 15 – 20k. The filter was a chunk of dirt. I’m going to change again in 15k.
